Product Review: Tweak'd By Nature Limitless Styling Cream

Tweak'd by Nature is a hair, skin, and bodycare brand that I have had a lot of experience with and have discussed frequently here and there on La Petite Rose. My very favorite product is their All-Purpose Rescue Cream, which is my staple facial moisturizer and a very reliable body cream for me as well. Today, however, I want to share about my absolute number one pick out of all their haircare items I've tried thus far: the Limitless Styling Cream.

First a bit of background on my hair. I have very fine hair that has some natural wave to it. I have ultimately very weak and breakage-prone hair too due to intrinsic dryness of both the hair shafts and the scalp too. I am always seeking to add more volume, but even more so to re-hydrate and curb the breakage of my hair while defining and emphasizing the waves that I have. Often, with other wave-making or curl-defining products, I struggle in that they bond to the hair so stiffly that they can really cause my thinner hair to tangle and knot and then ultimately break off whenever I try to brush it or even move it around with my hands to style it. Or else, the formulas themselves can be filled with alcohols and other drying ingredients or silicones that add shine but can leave the hair frizzier and actually drier-feeling at the end of the day. The Tweak'd by Nature Limitless Styling Cream. however, is none of these things.

Created from a base of chiuri butter from Nepal, this product is textbook at offering strong, yet flexible and moldable hold. As you pump the cream into your hands, you will feel an almost stiff lotion but the minute you rub it between your hands, it immediately softens up with no effort whatsoever. This lovely lightweight texture is very indicative of how the product on the whole ultimately behaves in the hair whether you apply it with flat palms for a smooth, glossy straight look, spike up shorter hair, or scrunch it to make waves and define curls as I do. But the wonderful ingredients do not stop with just the chiuri butter. There's also very pure, antioxidant-rich, high-elevation honey that helps protect against environmental damage, passionflower extract, which helps to impart moisture , and tigernut and pea peptides that help to address breakage. And let me tell you this is the only styling product I have ever used that I can comb through without a fight, no tangles, and very little, if any, breakage after immediate brushing. As someone who has struggled for a lifetime with very fragile and damage-prone hair, this improvement truly seems a miracle.

You can use the Limitless Styling Cream in a variety of ways on both wet and dry hair. My favorite way is to apply 1-2 pumps of it a few minutes after washing my hair, just so that it is not dripping wet but still very, very damp (I do not use a blow dryer). I scrunch it in into different sections of my hair and then twist it up into a claw or towel to let it air dry overnight, and I am left with gorgeous, soft curls come morning when I let it down. Plus, a lot more volume too, which is always a plus. I do sometimes scrunch it again with the product if the waves become frizzy or less defined on one side in between washing days just as a touch-up. but most weeks I don't usually do this. For reference, I wash my hair 1-2 times per week to 10 days. All this said, I think this product is very adaptable and versatile for whatever your hair type or texture you have or style you are going for. The key is simply to remember that a little goes a long way (1 to 2 pumps for most hair lengths and thicknesses, I think would be sufficient) and to always remember to rub the product between your hands before you start putting it into the hair to start melting the ingredients so your hair can absorb the full benefit.
