Summer Fridays has charmed my heart (and my skin) with another gorgeous product. This time, it is their CC Me Vitamin C serum. While I have tried and liked and even reviewed other Vitamin C serums and other Vitamin C centric products in the past, the CC serum truly stands out as being unique and worthy of a place as a long-term favorite.

Vitamin C in and of itself is helpful to the skin in many ways including, helping trigger and boost collagen production for stronger, smoother, and tauter skin, helping speed up healing of acne and also post-acne marks and other forms of skin discoloration or hyperpigmentation, and also helping the skin resist sun damage due to its high dose of antioxidants. T I have experienced incredible radiance and glow from this product. Even after the first day of use, my skin had a noticeably different glow that lasted all day. My skin looked so much more even and energized.

While I have experienced similar things from other Vitamin C products, however, I don't feel the results have ever been quite this instant, and often over time my skin would start to feel sometimes irritated or overstimulated by the power and the acidic nature of Vitamin C. I am impressed to say , though, that he CC serum manages to deliver this ingredient (along with others) in such a hydrating and cushy formula that I find is quite uncommon in C-centric formulations. Even immediately after putting other C serums on, lots of them leave my skin feeling tight and that it really needing a hydrating serum or cream to immediately follow up with, Yet, with CC Me, not only don't have this sensation, but some days I even skip moisturizer entirely after using this. This is such a relief on hot summer days where I don't feel as inclined to coat my face with as many layers of skincare.

Accompanying the pure Vitamin C (in the forms of (ascorbic acid and ascorbic glucoside) are a host of other vitamins and plant-based ingredients to soften and support the skin. Niacinamide (or Vitamin B3) helps to further promote skin healing and reduce redness and help improve barrier function. Green tea provides extra antioxidants and glow and works to refine the pores (along with jasmine extract) for a smoother surface and a firmer feel while an ample amount of water-attracting glycerin and cantaloupe and apricot extracts address hydration. The apricot and anti-inflammatory clove and the energizing and also Vitamin C rich coffee extract also give this product a delicious mildly fruity, warm, sweet smell that adds another pleasurable feature to this product and sets it apart from other potent Vitamin C serums, which usually smell very metallic or salty. As another more aesthetic choice, I also love the little opaque white pump bottle this comes in. Not only does it look cute on the vanity, it also aids in helping the product stay fresh and active since Vitamin C degrades relatively quickly and is sensitive to light and air infiltration.

If you are looking for a way to give your skin all the benefits of Vitamin C plus some and do it in a gentle and pleasurable way, I suggest taking a look at the CC Me Serum from Summer Fridays. It has become a staple in my morning routine for sure, and I don't think I'll long be without it. A full-size 1 oz bottle (that lasts 4-6 months with average daily use) is available on the Summer Friday's website, Sephora.com and at certain Sephora stores for $68 USD.
