Product Review:Pinrose Treehouse Royal Eau de Parfum

Few perfumes spark as much true delight to me as Pinrose’s Treehouse Royal. As a brand, Pinrose is an entirely vegan, cruelty-free line of fragrances which are largely natural-based. I have tried a few scents from this line and I have been impressed by all, but once again, it is Treehouse Royal that truly wins my heart.

The scent of Treehouse Royal can best be summed up in one word— green. This scent is the freshness of the woods and meadow in spring. Being a fan of fig fragrances, I was first attracted to trying this because of fig being listed in the top notes, but while fig is present and is detectable on me, it is the elements of sweet budding pears, grounding mosses and even the subtle and unusual twist of crisp, juicy celery that predominate. After a few hours of wear, the fragrance both deepens and sweetens to open up the beautiful, grand peony note that predominates the floral section of this fragrance. Jasmine and lily of the valley are also listed in the middle notes. But the don’t show up nearly as much on my skin as the peony, although some jasmine does peer its head here and there adding some creaminess and warmth to the scent. This part then paved the way for the unusual drydown of rich yet some how sparkly vanilla and vetiver. These two notes really compliment each other super well as the vetiver keeps the vanilla from being too sweet and dense and the vanilla helps the vetiver from being to sharp or smoky. If you are someone who likes the idea of woodsy or forest-inspired scents but maybe find them either too dark or too rugged -feeling, I would definitely recommend trying this as it has plenty of flowers and fruity notes to balance out the earthiness. And what I find even more exceptional about this as well is how the fragrance travels from section to section In that it doesn’t lose its previous notes as newer ones start to emerge. This way, the full effect of the greenness, fruits, flowers, moss, and woods all sing out together on my skin by the time the fragrance reaches its peak.

This fragrance, while not heavy, does project quite well and unlike a lot of other “cleaner” fragrances out there, this lasts incredibly well on me. About 6-8 hours of full scent life is what I usually can expect. Of course, everyone’s body chemistry makes the wear and length of a fragrance individual. But I can imagine nearly everyone finding something to love about this mystical, magical garden of a fragrance!
