If there ever was a brand to be called a cult classic natural-oriented brand, it would be Lush. With their avant garde names, quirky product concepts, and earthy bohemian vibe that infuses all their lotions and potions, it is a brand that has captivated many a beauty lover and cemented their own individual niche into the beauty space like no other. I have been itching to try something from the brand for years, and when I generously received their famous Dream Cream from my best friend and sister, I was so happy to have my Lush-product-trying dream come true.

Dream Cream is categorized officially as a body cream, but I truly feel it works phenomenally well anyplace you might put it. Feet, arms, neck, hands, and yes, even the face. The primary ingredient of this cream is an unusual one to me, oat milk. But I must say that I'm really appreciating its effects. Not only are oats a famous gentle anti-inflammatory that my skin loves especially when trying to heal redness from sun exposure, or acne scars, but the light airy texture that I think comes from it being oat MILK that is used in the formula, gives this cream an exceptional airy,, light, glistening smooth texture that sinks in immediately into the driest patches of my skin and set to work immediately in healing without any greasiness or heavy-feeling. Extra Virgin Olive oil also seems to be a key player here enriching the skin with fatty acids and Vitamin E.

But of course like a lot of Green Beauty hero products, the true magic of the Dream Cream lies in its combination of powerful (and incidentally also awesome-smelling light and fresh and musky and grounding at once) essential oils. Ones of note here are the powerfully calming and, again, anti-inflammatory Blue Chamomile , the soothing lavender, and the powerful anti-bacterial and restorative tea tree oil. For the inclusion of tea tree oil alone, but also, for the wonderful soothing ingredients in this cream, I found this to be a great choice for moisturizer in particular when I start to feel a breakout coming on. As someone with a very dry skin type, I sometimes have to use seemingly unconventional product choices to address breakouts because most clarifying and pore-clearing products dry my skin out too much, even if just applied to a small area. But the Dream Cream offers a perfect solution. The small bit of tea tree that is in here really helps to quell the oncoming pimples or at least speed up their healing process and the other ingredients soothe my skin back into balance the whole way through.

Also as I mentioned before, I have also been especially liking using Dream Cream as a hand cream, as its lightweight texture really gets into my hands super fast, leaving them no time to feel tight after washing, and, since I have been applying Dream Cream around my cuticles and nail beds too I have noticed a bit of extra nail growth too, which is definitely a fun and welcome bonus!

But no matter how you choose to use it, I think the Dream Cream can find a use in nearly everyone's beauty cabinet, and I am so happy to report that my first try of the brand Lush has been such a resounding success. To try the Lush Dream Cream yourself, you can find it both in Lush stores and on their website. It currently is available in three sizes 1.7 oz for $7.95 , 8.4 oz for $29.95, and 15.8 oz for $39.95 USD.
