We are starting to think about Christmas shopping in my world and on La Petite Rose, so I am here to announce that the dedicating shopping articles and product reviews have begun for Holiday 2022. One thing I have not touched on a lot of is stocking stuffer ideas, and if there is one great thing to stick in any beauty lover or makeup wearers stocking, it is a new lipgloss, and I have an awesome one to share about. I I must say that that is a feat. Normally, glosses are not a staple of mine and quickly become boring to me (usually due to their lack of color) and annoying because of their tackiness and short wear time. Every once in awhile, however, I come across a standout such as Flower Beauty's Chill Out Smoothing Lip Glaze.
The primary claim to fame of the Chill Out Lip Glaze is its infusion of hemp CBD oil. I have done an article previously about the effects of CBD oil on the skin, but it's deeply hydrating and calming properties can certainly be felt on the lips once this is applied. This is truly the smoothest most comfortable lipgloss I have ever tried, and with absolutely no tackiness whatsoever. Truly, this does feel more like a straight-up lip oil but with markedly more color payoff than others I've seen and much longer wear time. So if you have tried lip oils or tinted lip oils in the past, or were maybe displeased with some things about their performance, maybe check out this lipgloss instead. I also really appreciate how this gloss smooths out my lips, not only in abating and healing flaky skin, but also in taking care of vertical liplines that are start starting to appear more and more on me as I get older. And I am very pleased to say that this smooth moisture lasts long after the color and shine fade, which happens about 2 or 3 hours after application or after eating or drinking. It also manages to do all of this without an overt shine. The finish is more like a glasslike sheen rather than a patent leather look that most glosses give, and I think this affect is a bit more subdued and natural, and let's the beautiful, vibrant colors have the spotlight instead of just the shine with only barely traceable color.
In talking of the colors, I must say that all of these shades look so stunning that I had a hard time choosing which one to try. I ultimately went with Unwind, which is a vibrant light-to-medium brighter pink shade that i feel truly mixes warm and cool undertones brilliantly. This makes probably very universally flattering for a lot of skintones and undertones for a perfect pop of fresh, pick-me-up color without being too loud. There is also Dazed, which is a subtle warm beige, Peace Out, a shimmery peach, Let's Roll, a neutral cherry red, and Zen, a shimmery coppery berry. There is also the clear shade, Dreamy, that looks green in the tube but goes on clear. The shade Dreamy is also formulated with special subtle blue pigments to help the teeth appear brighter and whiter. I may have to try this one next, especially on heavy coffee drinking days!
I cannot say enough how much I am thrilled to find out about the Flower Beauty Chill Out Smoothing Lip Glaze. The brand is a pretty impressive one overall, and I am continuing to find things that intrigue me from them. You can find these lip glazes for yourself for around $11.99 retail price on Ulta.com or on Flowerbeauty.com
