Nap in the Meadow face serum is the centerpiece of the classic indie Green Beauty brand Earthwise Beauty. I have been experimenting a lot with Earthwise's products in the past while, and can totally see why people recommend this brand with flying colors across with Green Beauty space. Founded by Polish-born trained herbalist Ava Zahn who curates ingredients from all around the globe to have a healing, restorative effect on the skin that is also healing both for the senses and our energy. So far, I can truly say the brand lives up to these claims and its praise, and I have really been impressed with all I've tried and am really growing to appreciate the marriage between potency and efficacy and calming gentility to skin of all that I have experienced so far. But even just after a month's introduction to these products, I can already tell that Nap in the Nap in the Meadow will be a routine favorite.

If we are talking about the merge between potency and calming, no product illustrates this better from Earthwise than Nap in the Meadow. It is a thin gel-like aloe-based serum (conveniently packaged in a lovely black glass, pump-style bottle that makes applying the serum so much quicker and more mess-free than a traditional dropper bottle) that is a powerhouse against inflammation, addressing both acne and dry, patchy irritation with equal ease. The key ingredients to this concoction different types of lavender, yarrow, calendula, and the star ingredient German Blue chamomile, which is responsible for the serums blue-to-mint green hue. It is known for ultra-healing properties and extraordinary calming effect both to the skin and to the mind. It is even touted in some alternative, holistic health disciplines to aid in the treatment of both anxiety insomnia or just for more generalized stress or tiredness But for the skin, it is a powerful wound healer and redness reducer that manages to be both light enough for oilier skin types and hefty enough and soothing to the dry. This along with I believe the geranium flower extract really help to refine the pores and give this-- what would otherwise be-- very oil-rich and likely very dense serum-- the ability to sink in super well and melt into the skin and almost give a firming effect. This lightness of texture along with the powerful (and for me almost visibly instant) redness reducing properties, makes it a great choice for a treatment-packed serum to wear during the day. It is melds perfectly seamlessly both onto and into the skin as it sinks in, giving lightweight hydration and smoothness to the skin both in texture as well as tone. Also, anti-inflammatory herbs such as turmeric and helichrysum help also guard against and heal side effects from sun exposure to the skin, both in terms of soreness, drying, and burning while also providing some anti-aging antioxidants. I find this serum to be particularly useful for lightly massaging over areas of either overexfoliated or irritated skin or overtop those deep under-the skin pimples that throb. Not only does it seem to promote their healing and fading, but the pain associated with these is often quickly reduced and is kept largely at bay all day, even when I so happen to randomly touch my face or have things from the environment contact it. German Blue Chamomile , out of all the herbs included in the blend, makes for the most dominant scent in Nap in the Meadow. I must admit that in products I've tried in the past, I have not cared for the smell of most kinds of chamomile or relatives in the chamomile plant family. It's a bit like wildflowers sweetened and then mixed with oceanwater. However, in Nap in the Meadow the scent is much more mild and I have grown accustomed to it and even to enjoy it some over time. But even if the scent remains not your thing, it does dissipate rather quickly after applying.

What is left is smooth, nearly glasslike, skin with so much less redness and bumpiness than I had even right before applying it seems. But, of course, the truly more healing benefits and improvements to my skin have come from consistent use over weeks and months. And this product is such a lovely and approachable, quick-absorbing and layerable texture, I honestly can't think of a skin type that wouldn't like wearing this or receive benefits from it. This is certainly a product that, to me, is worth the praise that it has gotten and is definitely worth a try.

If your skin needs the feeling of freshness and comfort and just could use a consistent, gentle reset through the day, I highly recommend testing this serum out for yourself. Nap in the Meadow can be found at EarthwiseBeauty, com. A standard-sized 1 oz bottle currently retails for $60 USD, but a larger 1.7 oz size is also available for $85 USD. But just to test it out, there is also a small 0.17 oz version for $18 USD.
