My Top 4 Most Relied On (And Repurchased) Beauty Items

As someone who makes a hobby of, and runs a blog on, experimenting and testing all things in the realm of makeup, skincare, and all other things beauty, the temptation to always float around from product to product or be on an endless search for the best of the best, is strong within me. However, it is always to look back on those items that are my old faithfuls that never steer me wrong and that I keep repurchasing over and over as of late or, in some cases, all throughout my product-loving life. Today, I wanted to take a moment and share some of my favorites of the favorites.

Biotherm Aquasource Aura Concentrate: While this product may technically be the newest favorite to make this list, it is truly the product that has skyrocketed the quickest to the realm of essential. As someone who has had supremely dry skin since literally birth, I have tried more than my fair share of serums and moisturizers hoping to find the solution to keep my skin comfortable, smooth, and deeply hydrated. No serum has helped me more than this one, and it can work well on its own and also equally well when layered with any face cream I may choose to add even more moisture and seal everything in. I use this product religiously twice a day and find myself repurchasing as soon as my current bottle becomes lower than halfway down. Bareminerals Bisque Concealer: We move from the most recent favorite to now what is for sure the oldest standby in my collection, the Bareminerals Bisque Concealer. This is my favorite concealer for blemishes, generalized redness, and just overall complexion evening. I have used this overtop liquid and the Bareminerals foundation, and it performs beautifully in every instance. Nowadays, though, this is usually the only base product I use and it covers like a dream while feeling light as a feather and offering me some basic SPF benefits too without causing clogged pores or the allergic reaction I get from a lot of chemical-based sunblocks too. L'Oreal Voluminous Mascara: L'Oreal Voluminous is a product that I have not had in my collection in awhile, but it is always one that brings back the fondest of memories for me, as it was my mascara of choice in most of my middle school and all of my high school and would-be college years, all leading up to the start of La Petite Rose and further product explorations. This is a classic, dramatic volumizing mascara that gives the fullest, sweepiest lashes one could imagine. The formula is rich and densely-pigmented but is easy to apply and is neither too wet or dry at the onset of opening. It never has flaked on me, and hardly ever clumps, even as it ages, and it is available practically everywhere drugstore mascara. For the sake of nostalgia-- and really good makeup-- I may pick up another tube of this soon and also post a review in the future.

Diptyque Philosykos Perfume: Diptyque's Philosykos is the closest thing I have ever had to a truly signature scent. I have been lucky enough to use and love to completion four or five bottles of this luxury gem, and it has truly become the scent of me. So much so, that I have been neglecting my typical favorite beauty past time of trying new perfume samples with most every Sephora order I place in favor of using and loving this so much. In brief, Philosykos is a woodsy, non sweet, green, fig scent that, for me, is perfect for any occasion and time of year. I did a full review of this professing my love for it a few years ago, and not a word of my sentiments has changed!

These are my top four most repeatedly and effusively beloved beauty items from long past and to date. While I will always love discovering new things, these items-- and I'm sure many more that didn't quite make the cut to belong on my most repurchased items list-- remind me of the true joy of having something become a dependable, reliable beauty bestie!
