My Top 3 Beauty Resolutions for 2021

Hello gorgeous people!

It is that time of year again, or rather, New Year. I hope everyone had a fabulous Christmas and Holiday Season and that 2021 is going to be a shining year for us all. As I did last year, I will share with you some of New Year's Resolutions, specifically pertaining to beauty, in the hopes to give you a preview of some of the topics we may be exploring on La Petite Rose this year, and to also maybe give and have you share with me some of your ideas in how to experiment with beauty products in the months ahead.

For me, my list is--

Try More Neutral Lipstick: As I mentioned in the equivalent post to this for 2020, I did play with more of a variety of different lipcolors throughout last year that strayed from my usual red lip. This year, though, I want to focus more on, especially brown and rosewood and even nude-toned lipsticks. As someone who is both very pale and has very cool-undertoned skin, these types of shades are not always the first ones I think of to go with my complexion.; However, as for any skin tone, there is a shade (and multiple out there) of any color for anyone, and since I have been admiring neutral lips all last year, I am keen to find my perfect match and, as always, encourage everyone to take a step out of their usual color comfort zone if they have been thinking about doing so.

Step Up the Brow Game: Brows have always been a neglected feature for me and a weak point of my makeup application. Last year I described briefly my trying of the "soap brows" technique for fluffing up the brows. But while I still do that sometimes, filling in and shaping my brows is still not something that I feel the most confident in. However, I love the chicness of a full, fluffy, groomed brow. So I am looking in to powder,pencils, and pomades to see what types of products will become my go-to.

Find New Hairstyles: Obviously, this one isn't makeup-related, but for myself. I find that I get in a rut with my hairstyles. Usually, I wear it up in either a top knot or claw or loose and wavy and unbound, but I'd like to try out some new ways of wearing my hair in both style and possibly in cut. I am vaguely considering a multi-layered bob at the moment, but we will see what comes of that idea! Maybe, just maybe, I will report back on many ways to style a bob??? Who knows?

These are just some musings about new beauty pursuits for 2021 and perhaps beyond that maybe you will want to try as well.
