As we have all continued to stay more at home over these last months, I have become an even bigger fan of using my beauty routine as a way to wile away the hours and give myself some extra relaxation. And nowhere has this become more evident than in my amping up my skincare regimes, I have been trying a lot more skincare products, many of which will for sure make their way into forthcoming product reviews on La Petite Rose, but have been also loving changing up the ways in which I do my skincare routine.

One thing that I have been actively incorporating more of is dedicated facial massage. Just as with our bodies, massaging our faces does a lot to tone and relax the muscles of our face, promoting firmer-looking skin that is more resistant of showing wrinkles. Additionally, , facial massage helps to boost circulation within the skin, giving us more glow and also helping things like blemishes and areas of hyperpigmentation show less and fade more quickly. I also relish the fact that taking the time to massage my face in the evenings is a great way for me to unwind and slow down at the day's end, and I love the feel of the sumputous oils and serums or cushy-feeling cleansers that use to massage with. All around, it is an easy, beautiful treat-to self with great added benefits too.

I rediscovered a great video showing different facial massage techniques that I have been experimenting with by none other than renowned celebrity makeup artist, creative director, and brand founder Lisa Eldridge. In it, she shares some of her personal favorite methods and tips for massage and about the difference that doing consistent massage has made to her own skin and that of her clients. Following along with her movements and listening to her kind, gentle voice, you will feel as if you have gone to a spa without ever leaving your home. Give it a try, and watch the video here.
